How to Check Device Encryption Status on Windows 10/11.

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to check the device encryption status on Windows 11/10 devices.

Device encryption or BitLocker Encryption feature in Windows 10/11 devices helps to protect your data for unauthorized access, by encrypting them. After encrypting the data on a device, the user must enter a passphrase or use a smart card to be able to unlock and access them, otherwise the access to the data is impossible even if the disk is removed and placed on another computer.

However, sometimes there are issues with device encryption, such as compatibility issues or problems installing Windows updates, and it is required to be disabled. (Read this article to find other reasons why you might need to disable device encryption.)
