How to Resolve the Windows 10 Activation Error 0x80072EE7

Step 1. Make sure you are connected to the Internet.

If you cannot activate Windows 10 because of the error 0x80072EE7, first of all, check your Internet connectivity. To do that, open your Internet browser and visit any website to ensure that your Internet connection is working.

 

Step 2. Use a Valid Product Key for Windows 10.

The Windows 10 activation error 0x80072EE7, may appear if the installed product key is invalid. So, make sure that you use a valid and legal license key to activate Windows 10. The license key must relate to the installed version of Windows 10 (e.g. Home or Pro) and must be typed correctly.

To change the Windows 10 product key, go to Settings > Update and Security > Activation and click Change product key.

Step 3. Change DNS Settings

1. Right click on the Network icon image in Taskbar and click Open Network and Sharing Center. *

2. Select Ethernet (or Wi-Fi) on the left, and then at ‘Related settings’ section, click Change adapter options.

3. Right click on the active Network Adapter (Ethernet or Wi-Fi) and select Properties.

4. Select the ‘Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)‘ and click Properties

5. At Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) properties:

a. Check the Use the following DNS server addresses: radio button.
b. Then, type the following DNS server addresses (Google’s public DNS Servers) and click OK.

6. Restart your computer.
