To prevent Windows 10, to display twice an attached or fixed drive, apply the following registry tweak:
1. Open Registry Editor. to do that:
1. Press Windows + R keys to open the run command box.
2. In the Search box, type regedit and press Enter to launch the Registry Editor.
2. Then navigate to this registry key:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerDesktopNameSpaceDelegateFolders
3. Then right click and delete the {F5FB2C77-0E2F-4A16-A381-3E560C68BC83} key.
4. Then navigate to this key: *
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWOW6432NodeMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerDesktopNameSpaceDelegateFolders
5. Delete the {F5FB2C77-0E2F-4A16-A381-3E560C68BC83} key.
6. Close Registry Editor.
* Note: If you cannot see the “WOW6432Node” key, then ignore the steps 4 & 5 above, because they only applies to 64bit versions of Windows 10.
TIP: If you change your decision in the future, just right click at ‘DelegateFolders’ at the above registry locations, select New -> Key, and recreate the deleted {F5FB2C77-0E2F-4A16-A381-3E560C68BC83} key(s).
