3 Ways to Login on Windows 11 without typing Password.
If you don’t want to type your password each time you sign-in to Windows 11, follow one of the methods below:*
Important: It is not recommended to login to Windows 11 without a password as it compromises the security of your device.
Method 1. Remove Windows 11 Login Password from Local Account.
If you using a local account* to login to Windows 11, the easiest way to login without a password is to clear the password for your account. To do that:
* Note: If you login to Windows 11 with a Microsoft Account, skip to next methods.
1. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and click Change Password.
2. Type the current password, leave the “new password” and “confirm password” fields empty and then press Enter.
Method 2. Disable Windows 11 Password Requirement when logging in to Windows.
The second method to sign in to Windows 11 without typing a password is to force Windows not to ask for a password to use the computer. (This method works for both local and Microsoft accounts)
Step 1. Enable Passwordless Sign-in in Registry.
1. Press Windows 
+ R keys to open the run command box.
2. Type regedit and press Enter.
2. In Registry Editor, navigate to the following location:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionPasswordLessDevice
3. At the right-pane, double click to open the DevicePasswordLessBuildVersion REG_DWORD.
4. Change the Value data: to 0 from 2 and click OK.
5. Close the Registry Editor.
6. Restart the computer & then continue to next step.
Step 2. Disable Password Requirement during Sign-in to Windows 11.
1. Press Windows + R keys to open the run command box.
2. Type netplwiz and press Enter.
3. Uncheck the box Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer & click Apply.
4. In the Automatically sign in window that appears type and confirm your password and click OK. Then click OK again to close the ‘User accounts’ window.*
* Note: If you have a Microsoft account, type your email address in the user name field.
5. Restart your PC to login to Windows 11 without typing a password again.
Method 3. Login to Windows 11 without typing a Password using Registry.
Another method to login on Windows 11 without having to type a password, is to add your login credentials in Registry. (This method works for both local and Microsoft accounts).
1. Press Windows + R keys to open the run command box.
2. Type regedit and press Enter.
2. In Registry Editor, navigate to the following location:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionWinlogon
4a. Right-click at Winlogon key and select New > String value.
4b. Rename the new value to DefaultUserName and press Enter.
4c. Now double-click to open the created value “DefaultUserName” and type your username (or your email address if you’re using a Microsoft account) and click OK.
5a. Now Perform the same steps and create a new REG_SZ (String) value and name it DefaultPassword
5b. Double click at ‘DefaultPassword‘ REG_SZ value, type your password in the Value data box and click OK.
7a. Finally, create a new REG_SZ value and name it AutoAdminLogon
7b. Double click at ‘AutoAdminLogon‘ value, type 1 in the Value data box and click OK.
8. Close Registry Editor and Restart your PC. *
* Notes:
1. If you computer is part of a Domain, then you have to create another one REG_SZ value with the name DefaultDomainName and then to type in value data box the name of your domain.
2. To disable the auto login in the future, just delete the newly created string values that mentioned above.
After you complete these steps, Windows 11 will automatically sign in to the account you specified without prompting you for a password. Keep in mind that this makes your account and device more vulnerable to unauthorized access, so it is important to be aware of the risks and take additional security precautions as necessary.
