How to Download and Install the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.

The second big and most important update of Windows 10, is published on August 2016 and contains many great features as Microsoft says. The update is named as “Windows 10 Anniversary Update Version 1607” and is appears as “Feature update to Windows 10, version 1607” in Windows Update.

Important: Before installing the Anniversary Update you should know that Windows 10 may freeze after installing the Anniversary Update, but Microsoft says that the issue has fixed in the latest release of the update ( 8/31/2016). If you ‘re experiencing problems after update installation then follow the steps below to uninstall the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.

How to Install the Windows 10 Anniversary Update – Version 1607.

Requirements: To install the Windows 10 Anniversary Update you’ll need a PC with at least 2GB RAM and 20GB of available free storage.

How to Uninstall the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.

If your PC freezes and not working properly after the installation of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update Installation, then you can use the “Go back to the previous build” feature to uninstall the update from your system.

How to Go back to the previous Windows 10 build:

Method 1. By Using Recovery Console

1. Restart your computer.

2. At the Sign-in screen, hold down the SHIFT key an select Power –> Restart.

3. After PC restarts, choose Troubleshoot –> Advanced Options –> Go Back to the previous build.

 

Method 2. By Using Safe Mode

1. Restart your computer.

2. At the Sign-in screen, hold down the SHIFT key an select Power –> Restart.

3. After PC restarts, choose Troubleshoot –> Advanced Options -> Startup Settings –> Restart.

4. After PC restarts, press 4 (or F4) to get into Safe Mode.

5. Login to Windows and then go to Settings –> Update & security and then choose Recovery from the left side.

6. Under the “Go back to an earlier build”, click the Get started button.

7. Follow the onscreen instructions to restore Windows 10 to the previous build.
