Bypass TPM, Secure Boot and CPU Requirements to Install Windows 11.

This guide shows two (2) methods to install Windows 11 on unsupported hardware, by bypassing  the CPU, RAM, TPM & Secure Boot requirements.

To be able to install Windows 11, Microsoft requires to have a latest generation processor and your system must support TPM & Secure Boot. (see all the Windows 11 hardware requirements).

If you don’t own the minimum hardware requirements to install Windows 11 and you receive the message “This PC can’t run Windows 11. This PC doesn’t meet the minimum system requirements to run this version of Windows”, continue below to resolve the problem.

This guide contains step-by-step instructions on how to bypass CPU, TPM & Secure Boot requirements to install Microsoft Windows 11.

How to Install Windows 11 on a PC without TPM, Secure Boot or a supported CPU (How to Install Windows 11 on Unsupported Hardware).

Method 1. Remove Windows 11 TPM and Secure Boot requirement with RUFUS.

The first and easiest method to bypass the hardware requirements for Windows 11 installation is to create a Windows 11 USB installation media that removes the TPM & Secure Boot requirements, with the RUFUS USB Creator Utility. *

* Note: Use this method if you don’t already have Windows 11 installation media on a USB. (if you already have a Windows 11 USB installation disk, see the instructions in method-2)

Step 1. Download Windows 11 ISO file.*

* Note: If you have already downloaded the latest version of Windows 11 in a ISO file, skip to next step.

1. Navigate to Windows 11 download page and download the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool.
2. Run the downloaded file and when prompted Accept the license terms.
3. At Windows 11 edition and language options, click Next.

4. Choose ISO File and click Next.

4. Save the file as Windows11.ISO file to your disk.

Step 2. Create a Windows 11 Install Disk for Unsupported Hardware with RUFUS.

To remove the Windows 11 hardware requirements, using the RUFUS USB Creator utility:

1. Download the latest version of RUFUS
2. Plug an EMPTY USB flash drive on your computer.
3. Run the “rufus-x.exe” file you downloaded.
4. Choose the empty USB drive under “Device”

5. Click Select and then open the Windows 11.iso file.

6. Type a Volume label (Optional) and then click Start to create the installation media.

7. At Windows User Experience options, check the following option and click OK.*

• Remove requirement for 4GB+ RAM, Secure Boot and TPM 2.0

Notes: Here you can also select the following options:

• Remove requirement for an online Microsoft Account:  if you want to run Windows 11 with a local account.
• Create a local account with username…: If you want to specify a standard user account for all new installations (This is helpful, if you want to install many pc’s with the same account)
• Set regional options to the same values as this user’s.
• Disable data collection to skip privacy questions.

8. Read carefully the security waning and if you don’t have files you need on the USB, click OK to proceed.

9. When the Windows 11 Installation media is created, close RUFUS and use the USB disk to install Windows 11 on any computer with unsupported hardware.

Method 2. Bypass Windows 11 Hardware Requirements with a Registry Hack during Setup.

If you own a Windows 11 USB install disk and you want to bypass the Windows 11 TPM, Secure Boot & CPU requirements during the Windows 11 setup, do the following:

1. Boot your System from the Windows 11 USB installation disk.

2. At the below screen press the SHIFT + F10 keys to launch command prompt.

3. At command prompt, type regedit

4. In Registry Editor, navigate to this key:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMSetup

5. Right-click on Setup key and choose New -> Key.

6. Name the new key LabConfig and hit Enter.

7a. Right-click at LabConfig and choose New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.

7b. Name the new value: BypassRAMCheck and hit Enter.

8. Repeat steps 6a & 6b and create two more values with names:

• BypassSecureBootCheck
• BypassTPMCheck

9. Now open one-by-one the newly created DWORD values, type 1 at Value Data box and click OK.

10. At the end you should see the follow image in your screen.

11. Close the Registry Editor and the command prompt windows.

12. Click Next to start the installation of Microsoft Windows 11.

13. Click Install now.

14. At next screen choose I don’t a product key. *

* Notes:
1. If you are installing Windows 11 for the first time on this computer, you will be prompted to enter the Windows 11 product key after installation to activate Windows.
2. If you previously installed and activated Windows 11 or Windows 10 on the same machine, Windows 11 will automatically activate after the machine connects to Microsoft servers.

15. Select the Windows 11 edition you want to install and click Next.

16. Then, Accept the license terms, click Next and continue to install Windows 11.
