Description of “Gmail Authentication Failed” problem: You cannot connect to your Gmail account with Outlook or with any other Email client program or Mail app (e.g. Thunderbird, iPhone Mail App, Windows Phone Mail App).
For example, whenever you try to connect to your Gmail account, with Outlook, subsequently asked to verify your user name and password in the account properties because your e-mail server rejected your login (even if your credentials are correct).
The “Gmail server rejected your login” issue, while connecting to Google Mail (GMAIL) with your E-mail client, is caused because Google has turned off the basic authentication for new accounts.
In this tutorial you’ll learn how to configure Google settings in order to allow Outlook, Thunderbird or other email program, to access your Gmail and bypass the “Google Mail Authentication Failed” problem (Server rejected your login – Google Mail).
